Well Ladies. I had an awesome time this fall and this year. We came out strong and I think surprised a lot of people. I had a blast today and all season. I can't wait till next year when we will have a sea of TC RC jerseys out for the season.

Today was a VERY CLOSE one, but Collegeville edged us by a few and we finished 3rd. Our team work out on the course showed however, and I am so proud to run with you ladies. The points for the season are as follows:

1. Run N Fun 29
2. Collegeville 19
3. TC Running Co 13
4. Team Unattached 10

Once we get our full team out there, we will be a force to reckoned with.

The team meeting to decide next years races has been set. We need as many people as possible out for this. I want to push to change the 15K to 3 people for scoring, and if we want a shorter circuit, we need voices. The way it is set now, anyone who shows up at the meeting can vote. I think it should be one girls, one guys for each team. I will email the date to you once I get the confirmation from Ed Whetam, LDR Chair.

Have safe holidays, and lets plan a few runs.

Fort Snelling Relays

It is time to begin the Fort Snelling Relays and the start of 6 cross country races. Our first event is a 5 x 5K relay team. We don't necessarily need 5 runners for this, but 3 is pushing it. One runner can do two legs, but not back to back.

I need the team and order known before the race. I am not sure that I can as my hamstring is very tight and won't release.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are planning on running this one.

Post Season / Pre Season Gathering

HEY!!! What do a bunch of adult, idiot runners do to prepare themselves for running a relay race consisting of five 5ks? Well, they usually eat a great feast, drink one too many beers, and reminisce about days of ole.

Maybe they even eat a crayon or two. Well, if you fancy such preparation prior to the USATF Cross Country staple event, then join us at 3103 Selkirk Drive in Burnsville Minnesota on Saturday, September 20th. We'll haze the afternoon air with grill smog & light up the night with shenanigans.

Any takers for early and/or later events, please RSVP whenever clarity strikes.

Weekend Long Run

We are planning a long run either Saturday or Sunday this week. The thought was to run the trail from excelsior that goes to hopkins arounf lake Mtka. It will be a gorgeous weekend for it.

Look for more posts later this week.

Seasons Almost Over

We made it through the 15K by finishing 3rd lead by the overall ladies champion and now 32 year old state record for 15K Kelly! Thanks again to Amy for coming out and running with us and for Renee and Sheila as well. It turned out to be a great day for weather and a great day for TC Running.

The results for Henn Lake and MDRA 15K are now posted. We placed 3rd in both events and continue our stronghold on 2nd place for the season. We have a 6 point lead on Team Unattached. All we have to do is plce in the top 4 at City of Lakes to maintain our position. My understanding as of right now is that Paula will be able to run the 25K. She is finally healthy and I am so happy for her. We may also have a new team mate that wants to run the 15K as well. She just qualified for Boston at Grandmas and is a close friend of some of the guys on the Mens team. Renee is also set for the 25K I believe. Hopefully we can get a few more out there for this one to show our presence. It has been a great year!

Anyone interested in a 12 miler on Saturday?

Upcoming Circuit Events

The next circuit Team event is the Hennepin Lake Classic Double Header. This means we need two women to run the 5K, two to run the 10K and 1 to run both.

Then we have the 15K and the 25K. We need five for the 15K and 3 for the 25K. If we want to keep our standing we need to yield at every race. If people could take the time to let us know who will be able to run what races that would be great. It is also helpful to have backups because people get sick or hurt.

I am running Henn Lake 5K and I will run the 25K if needed. I am supposed to be out of town for the 15K.
The 2008 USATF Minnesota Cross-Country circuit was decided tonight at Majors Sports Cafe. Attached is a listing of the races, dates and distances selected. Each race (with the exception of the Fort Snelling Relays) will consist of a men's and women's race.

The USATF Minnesota Championship, will take place on the weekend of November 7th/8th or on November 15th. Race distance and race location are being determined at this time. The goal is to find a date and venue to have a men's 10k and women's 6k. A location, distance and date will be decided before August 1st.

Other rulings to be approved during tonight's meeting are the following:The XC team circuit rules will remain the same as they were in 2007. An open men's and women's team will consist of five (5) scoring members. A masters men's team will consist of five (5) scoring members. A womens master's and all grand master's teams will consist of three (3) scoring members. The one exception will be the Fort Snelling Relays, which will consist of five scoring members for all teams.

Scoring will remain the same in relation to the 2007 XC circuit. If three (3) teams score during a race, the first place team will receive four (4) points, 2nd place will receive three (3) points, and so forth. The USATF MN Championships will count as double points.

Hope to see everyone at the remaining road race team events, and see everyone in the fall during the XC circuit. Here are the races that were decided on.

Wooohoooo a team blog! Great job today everyone. In addition to running the 5k, Lori Anne and Shannon did double duty, stepping up to run the 1500 to help fill the field for Carrie Tollefson in her road to the 2008 Olympics. Nice work.See you Tuesday!

Moving on up!

Hellllooooooooooooo! Let's get this party started in here. I wanted to start this blog so we can all communicate as a team. We have so many awesome ladies bustin their butts on the road, trail and track. This will hopefully be a great way to check on upcoming races, numbers needed, training runs, catching a few cervesa's, etc. Blog away. I look forward to continuing running with everyone.

We showed we are a force to reckon with today. Nice job to all as we slide into 2nd place overall in the team standings. Take the time off to relax, get healthy and get ready for the Hennepin Lake Classis 5K/10K Double Header. http://www.tslevents.com/TSL/Event/Default.aspx?EID=56. I am not sure yet whether it is in the old format of 2 5K, 2 10K and 1 person does the double. Once I get the info, I will post.
